Please read these Terms carefully before instructing us. By instructing us, booking a consultation, paying an invoice, or asking us to begin work, you agree to these Terms.

2.2 About Bedi Legal Services Ltd

Bedi Legal Services Ltd (Company No. 15897516) is an estate planning business operating in England & Wales.

We provide private client estate planning support, including:

  • Mirror Wills

We are not a law firm regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and do not undertake reserved legal activities.

2.3 What We Do

We provide a professional estate planning document preparation and advisory support service designed to help clients organise their personal affairs.

Our role is to draft documentation based on the information and instructions you provide.

2.4 What We Do Not Do

It is important that you understand the limits of our services.

Unless expressly agreed in writing, we do not:

  • Assess undue influence, coercion, or family disputes;

Where your circumstances are unusually complex, we may recommend independent legal, tax, or financial advice.

2.5 Matters We May Decline

We reserve the right to decline instructions where matters fall outside our scope or are considered unsuitable, including but not limited to:

  • Foreign assets or overseas jurisdictions;
  • Agricultural or business property relief planning;
  • Complex trusts or tax structuring;
  • High-value or unusually complex estates;
  • Vulnerable beneficiaries requiring specialist arrangements;

  • You will notify us of errors or omissions immediately;
  • You will follow execution instructions precisely.

You remain responsible for ensuring that your estate planning documents continue to reflect your wishes following major life changes including marriage, divorce, separation, children, bereavement, relocation, substantial financial changes, or changes in law.

2.10 Fees & Payment Terms

We aim to provide transparent fixed-fee pricing.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

  • Fees are fixed and agreed in advance;
  • Payment may be required upfront or upon invoice;
  • Work may not begin until payment is received;
  • Outstanding balances may delay document release;
  • Third-party charges (including Office of the Public Guardian fees) are separate unless expressly included.

We reserve the right to suspend work where invoices remain unpaid.

2.11 Turnaround Times

Estimated timescales are indicative only and may vary depending on:

  • Complexity;
  • Client responsiveness;
  • Availability of information; and
  • Third-party delays.

We will always endeavour to complete work within a reasonable timeframe.

2.12 Drafting & Delivery of Documents

Draft documents may be supplied electronically or in printed format.

You are responsible for carefully reviewing draft documents before signing.

We rely on your confirmation that drafts accurately reflect your wishes.

2.13 Execution of Documents

We will provide guidance regarding signing and witnessing requirements.

However:

  • You remain responsible for ensuring documents are correctly signed and witnessed;
  • We do not guarantee validity where instructions are not followed;
  • We are not responsible for defective execution.

Unless separately agreed in writing, witnessing arrangements remain your responsibility.

2.14 Storage of Original Documents

Bedi Legal does not store original signed documents.

Original signed Wills and LPAs remain your responsibility and should be securely stored.

We may retain digital working copies or administrative records for compliance and business purposes.

We accept no responsibility for loss, destruction, or damage to original documents retained by clients.

2.15 Cooling-Off Rights & Cancellations

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you generally have a 14-day cooling-off period.

However, by instructing us to commence work within this period, you expressly consent to early performance.

You acknowledge that:

  • If work has fully completed, cancellation rights may be lost;
  • If work has partially completed, we may deduct reasonable fees for work undertaken;
  • Bespoke and personalised drafting work may not be refundable once substantially completed.

Cancellation requests should be submitted in writing.

2.16 Refund Policy

Refunds are assessed fairly and proportionately.

Refunds may be reduced where:

  • Consultations have been completed;
  • Drafting work has commenced;
  • Documents have been prepared;
  • Time and resources have already been committed.

Completed bespoke documents are generally non-refundable.

2.17 Confidentiality

We treat client information with discretion and confidentiality.

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the relevant service.

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including illness, severe weather, postal disruption, technology failures, cyber incidents, supplier interruption, government action, or force majeure events.
